Bast, this is really scary stuff. I wonder if I should also have my B12 tested. There's 6mcg of B12 in my multi which according to the RDA is more than the 2.2. How much did your doctor tell you to take?

hi,

she said i had a mild deficiency: methylmelonic was elevated, b12 slightly low.
gliadin antibodies are normal.

she said it didn't reallymatter if i took 500, 1000 or 2000 mcg. i've been taking 1000 daily of Solgar sublingual nuggets. she was very specific about the brand. says these work for her patients.

i felt sharper instantly. unfortunately, i glutened myself today at a restaurant. bellyache, headache halfway through the salad gave it away. waitress confirmed the steak was marinated in soy. i am so careful...but while i was asking if the lemonade was homemade and to hold the blue cheese, hold the dressing, i'll take olive oil on the side, there was the steak, right in front of me and i didn't even think it might be marinated.

hope you are well.

Bast,

Yeah, but how many people know that soy sauce is also made from wheat? Before I started learning about the GF diet, I had no idea gluten was everywhere and in everything. Sorry to hear about your glutening. You must really be sensitive. I'm waiting to hear back from Enterolab, I'm back on my gluten-free diet again.
